In the book Song of Solomon, the Lord says to his girlfriend: How fair and how pleasant you are, O love, for delights! (Song 7:6). Three of the Hebrew words in this verse are synonyms: fair, which means "precious" pleasant, as it relates to something pleasant, and delightful. These words describe the thoughts of Jesus to his girlfriend as he sees it. He looks and says, "What a beautiful, sweet and lovely you are. You are precious to me, O Love! ". Isaiah's words were a message of pure mercy to Israel. The people were in captivity because of their own folly and foolishness.
