Fireplace Heat Projector

Groundhog Day Trash Mountain Broke

First day we got up and just after breakfast and one minute later than as set out we are waiting for the team CIMIC (Civil-Military-Cooperation) along with a Civil Guard patrol. Yes, I too was surprised because although here everyone gets along very well and are very good friends, the rules are respected to the letter. The Meritorious does alcohol tests, fines you if you go faster because (inside and outside the base) and access control on all check-points. " Let him touch the balls do just as well here than there. Because they know that this is joke because we shared a lot and thank you very much for your protection as we can not have taken his eyes off for a second. And this is exactly what we have seen the very chungas to put the bottles of Johnnie Black at the base. Oooooops! (More on the Civil Guard soon).

The fact is that we are up and headed towards the position 966 which is occupied by the Marines. And I say, what these people have learned basketball on a boat?. Upon arrival we received the Captain of the base and we are grateful for the visit. All very formal but it was a guy we "mu mu majic simple." This type of positions are of smaller size and do not have all the "amenities" that has Miguel De Cervantes. Still, all occupants of that position and others in which the circumstances are even harder, was offered the baton to mid-term to make it more bearable. All declined. Not only did not complain at any time but decided to stay because they said that was his home and that if others would have to come and be screwed. Are such people.

get to the stadium and see that there is already heating staff on what should be a basketball court but there is only one basket and attached to a control tower. Very well because after shaking hands with a threat I have given order to the brigade is up in the tower to shoot the twin if I spend putting caps. I have just arrived and still do not know these people I care about the dead silence which preceded the comment. After about 0.2 seconds of silence that seemed like 2 hours to pee started laughing and I could start playing.

The game was fun because none was the best player I've defended but all had the necessary knowledge to have a good time. Of course Peter in a team and I in another and a gentleman decided not to defend one another (mostly because I was sure it showed. This is not what I said). Spend that time with them was an incredible experience. They are stuck there one and a half and I still have two and a half months. It's the same for all the whole mission. They had a great time because I managed to leave daily routine and every day there are equal. In fact joke making comparisons with the movie Groundhog Day.

whenever I've met good people, and I have luck because there has been much, I offered to do anything necessary. I can never do too much because the only thing I could work was giving away T-shirts and giving match tickets. I have also worked with foundations and NGOs in different projects. This trip is when I really feel I'm making a difference. Now that I have left professional basketball I can use those skills acquired in a field and spend more time helping others. It's a huge personal satisfaction that adult people I thank the attention and the troops are in a situation where anything you happy is an achievement. There are times when a good time does not hurt. We all know that that there is nothing better than a "clown" ...

... and there I was.

Before I even realize I had fallen asleep and now the tune blaring alarm clock absurd to think that however much you like the program while, at the end you just taking real grudge. I shower in the suite-bathroom and change my clothes, I leave the room feeling like a million euros and willing to give a good account of bufett (ja, sorry but I can not help laughing every time I utter call me immature that word) for breakfast. A couple of plates of hummus and bread, four slices of ham, two slices of tomato, a couple of balls of cheese, two cups of coffee a donut and I'm ready for whatever I throw at it. It is usually the toilet. Well, now I'm ready. After failing to get so if you want to be colorao which has made more trips to bufett (ha, I said) I ride one of the tank car and we headed toward the base.

day I like a town Beirut awake, active and full of vitality but get the feeling that this moment will never come not as if burdened with something. Not only is the frantic comings and goings of cars and motorcycles crisscrossing the avenues unmoderated I indicated, but because a city is being rebuilt. Reconstruction has been since 1990. A city that gives the feeling of wanting to regain lost glory due to an eternal confrontation with Israel and also a civil war that turned the local postal idyllic enclaves collector's items. We crossed part of the capital to go out and see, as I mentioned earlier, many contrasts. Huge plazas converted completely devastated and entire cemeteries architectural spit a huge store Mango Zara followed by another. Continue and our guides tell us what he meant for this country the assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri while teaching us the area where it occurred and compare the results with what would such devastation in the city of Zaragoza.

With the heart a little cramped, a scorching sun and wonderful wanderlust get out of Beirut intact without going over here no longer behave as if they were to ban or were running from something. We made our way down the road clinging to the coast and watching the sea front here enjoy my right to imagine the possibilities real estate in the area. Then I look to my left and see with amazement that we see the mountain through the houses because they are bored or even reduced to rubble. I remember where I am and I come to mind the sad lessons of history received few minutes ago. I can only feel a lump in my throat.

As we move into southern Lebanon, the picture changes slightly. The wonderful beaches and trash are covering for them that pile of sand leading to the clear water of the Mediterranean is not just a whim of Westerners and they do not succumb to our demands. Just before reaching the mountain of garbage in Lebanon, which is remarkable for its strength and height and it is also well known internationally, we stopped at one of the best bakeries in the area at City Sidon., Saida in Arabic The site is spectacular and your desk and modern decor treasure all kinds of baklava and pastries in the area that makes up and down smacking you just entered. As I sip my coffee Lebanese carefully observe the immensity of the mountain of garbage. From afar you can see how it is even a road leading to the summit. I think the big cultural difference that separates our two civilizations in Spain since that would be unthinkable. No one in their right mind would ever put such an aberration in a coastal area to exploit these opportunities (tourist speaking) to every living creature.

hope to the dregs Coffee found its way to the bottom of the cup to catch me without my teeth are black for life, just me and we proceeded. Leave behind an addition to the relief of human waste Lebanese which clearly reveal the intentions of a country more concerned with getting rid of your neighbors to sanitize your backyard. At the end of each other and the house without sweeping.

continue our road to Miguel de Cervantes base touching almost happy "little mountain" and left behind. In less than two hours after crossing there are many Christian villages and a few others of Hezbollah which sets them apart because they identify with yellow. No group takes the graciosillo in comparison with Villareal. No, not me!

Once at the base we were greeted with all presentations and acknowledgments. The base very well kept and the people MORE. We had dinner and then we go to rest and the next day we started early.

What Does Mean Booty Women

With Balls Lebanon

When most hits you can make such a journey is that the bread of the food served on board was a little cold you realize you've traveled as a gentleman. In the issue, Jesus Arroyo, representative of the United Nations Association of English, Pedro Carrillo, assistant coach illustrious CAI Zaragoza and also representing Foundation of the same entity, and a humble servant on behalf of all unemployed ex-professional players with an interest and desire to do things. It was a couple of weeks ago when a former coach and friend, José Antonio González, called me and asked if I would be interested in going to Lebanon on a mission to the UN to place sport at the service of development and peace. It took half a second to decide.

I must say I never did the idea where we were going until they rays in Paris and just before I saw the sign board of the gate which read, BEIRUT. At that time Peter and I looked with a slight smile that hid all our fears and without a word we both said: "YOU FIRST". As I said the trip was most enjoyable because I was lucky enough to get my hands on the emergency exit, after paying 50 euros, which bought me peace of mind to go.

good thing about traveling on behalf of the UN is nothing more than some guys getting off the plane, you do not know anything and very polite, you'll come to find out the finger. Then they make that dream we all have to spend the queues for passport control where it ends just the last part of the zipper of his pants and went through the line of diplomatic personnel. Without realizing hardly account and is giving us Welcome to Lebanon all the liaison committee dressed in their uniforms and everything. After the proper introductions and greetings we went to the vehicles. I say car because I could not very well how to call two pieces of armored Land Rovers waiting, our dream come true again in the parking of diplomatic vehicles. When one is preparing to open the door of a conventional car knows that he has more power the shot, make a slight movement of the shoulder and Alehop! you're inside. Well, if we were to do the same when you open the door of an armored car following would happen to us. You operate the handle and do notice slight shoulder movement that the door is still "stuck" to the rest of the car with which you do even harder to pull. If you're not ready you'll end up opening the door slightly, enough so that while you know you beat forward with all the "piñata" in an armored steel edge that you return the teeth to the original state it was before that your parents spent all their savings in orthodontics. All told, this did not happen.

Once in the tank car to the hotel we went through the center of Beirut. Really impressive to see the contrast of buildings with bullet holes and completely ruined by the civil war with others who have subsequently been built, which are clean and enjoy all the architectural fancy stuff you can imagine. Throughout this whole tour our "guardian angels" were giving us brief local history lessons while sorteábamos the myriad of obstacles that arose along the road. Caught my attention the fact that almost no road signs in the city and the cars are pretty much what they want. That might suggest that they are barbarians and savages driving but thinking carefully, I realized that actually we are barbarians. They never stop pitarse each other but not more than a warning that says "Hey you that vo pa'lla "and no dirty looks or insults. There are almost no signs of lanes and can make any money anywhere if you do it with care. Let them understand that everyone has to pass. We have a perfect highway code and all kinds of traffic signs and signals are transformed into beings lumpy green and purple veins as we get behind the wheel and do not stop to rebuke your neighbor. To all this I have said there is traffic police in Beirut. After watching the Lebanese parked in driveways and drive in the opposite direction and without any fear or concern, I wonder, what hell have to do one for getting a fine?

After the ordeal arrived at the hotel Bristol street. I'm surprised to arrive and see that we all have a single room and I was not that of others but mine was hall with a tray of grapes waiting, plasma TV, a wet bar that would have delighted the Lord Neira and stunning sofas . After finding the door leading to my room I left my suitcase. It was a huge room with a bed so big that I had to fill pillows to not miss the company and a bathroom that made me doubt whether to take the quilt to the tub and sleep there. Quick rosette spray and dinner with all the staff who were waiting down the hall for a quick bite.

had to rest, tomorrow we had a long way to the base Miguel de Cervantes and there we would begin our mission. The next day Beirut would first day since until that time was late and could not give a fair opinion on what I deserved such a city. I was impatient and did not know if want to see him let me sleep at ease.

Chico Buarque
STATEMENTS OF EDUCATION MINISTER OF BRAZIL.
During a discussion at a U.S. university,
he asked the former governor of the Federal District and current Minister of Education
Brazil, CRISTOVÃO Chico Buarque
, what he thought about the internationalization of Amazonia
. A United Nations U.S.
introduced his question, saying he hoped the response of a humanist
and not a Brazilian.

This was the response from Mr Cristóvão Buarque:

really, as a Brazilian, only speak against the internationalization
Amazonia. For more than
our governments do not properly care for that heritage,
it is ours.

As a humanist, feeling the risk of environmental degradation suffers
Amazon
I can imagine its internationalization, as well as everything else, that
is very important for humanity.

If the Amazon, from a humanist ethics, must be
internationalized
also internationalize the oil reserves in the world.

Oil is so important to the welfare of humanity as the Amazon
for our future.
Despite that, the owners of stocks they believe have
the right to increase or decrease the production of oil and its price up or not.

Similarly, the financial capital
rich countries should be internationalized. If the Amazon is a
reserve for all human beings, not be burned
only by the will of an owner or a country.
burn the Amazon is as serious as the unemployment caused by the arbitrary decisions
global speculators.

We can not allow
financial reserves serve to burn entire countries in the luxury of speculation.

Also, before Amazon, I would
see the internationalization of the great museums of the world.
The Louvre should not belong only to France.
Every museum in the world is the guardian of the most beautiful
produced by human genius. You can not let that
cultural heritage, natural heritage as Amazon
be manipulated and destroyed for the pleasure of an owner or a country.

Not long ago, a Japanese millionaire decided
buried along with him, a picture of a great teacher.
By contrast, this picture would have been
internationalized.

During this meeting, the UN is doing
Millennium Forum,
but some presidents had difficulties participating countries because
unpleasant situations encountered in the U.S. border
So I think that New York, to host the
United Nations, must be internationalized.
At least Manhattan should belong to all mankind.
In the same way as Paris, Venice, Rome, London, Rio de
Janeiro, Brasilia ... each city, with its specific
beauty, history of the world should belong to the world.

If the U.S. wants to internationalize the Amazon, in order not to risk
left to the
Brazilian
internationalize all the nuclear arsenals. Just think they already showed they were
able to use those weapons, causing destruction
thousands of times greater than the unfortunate
fires burning in the forests of Brazil.

In their speeches, the current presidential candidates
United States have defended the idea of \u200b\u200binternationalizing
world forest reserves in exchange for debt.

Let's start using this debt to ensure that every child
the world has the chance to eat and go to school
. Internationalize the children treating them
all no matter what country they were born, as
heritage deserve care worldwide. Much more
what is worth the Amazon. When leaders
treat poor children of the world as a World Heritage Site
not work when they should allow
study, they die when they should live.

As a humanist, I accept to defend the internationalization
the world, but while the world treats me as a Brazilian,
fight for the Amazon is ours.
Only ours!
