As I read Psalm 13 I saw the need to send a few words of encouragement I received personally from this blessed chapter.
David wrote the words in this Psalm. He asked, "How long Lord will you forget me? Is it forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long resguardaré sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? "
David's words seem to indicate that he felt abandoned by God to the suffering and to awaken each day with a black cloud over his head. For a while David spoke with despair, "God, do I have to always this feeling of isolation? When will my prayers answered? "
When troubles assail us, although we know the love of the Lord - when our freedom seems distant and hopeless - we sink to the stress generated by these conflicts. Right now someone is reading these words. is falling apart by the terrible pressure generated by a situation that seems hopeless. That person is on the verge of total despair waiting for a momentary calm that gives temporary relief to your test.
In her own trouble, David asked, "How long will continue to uphold my soul?" He had devised a plan after another, trying to find a solution to your problem - but all his plans, all his arrangements had failed. Now he no longer had ideas, or any solution that worked. He had reached the end of everything.
How disconcerting is starting to see a ray of hope, a little light, and suddenly return despair. Keep in mind that all this happened to a devout man, someone who wanted to please the heart of God. David was a man who testified have great confidence in the Lord. But, like us, David went through hard times, as described in this Psalm.
How David got up from this pit of despair? "But I have trusted in thy mercy ... sing to the Lord."
Let share with you reasons to continue to trust in God while going through their problems:
• No matter how strong the storms, our precious Lord will still be feeding the fowls of heaven, wearing the lilies of the field, and supplying an ocean full of fish of their daily needs. "Your heavenly Father feeds them ..." Not one bird falls to the ground without the Father's eye is on it.
• What kind of Father would feed all the creatures of land and neglect their children? Jesus exhorted us to "not worry" by the needs and everyday problems, "because he cares for us."
Truly the Lord loves, and he will not turn a deaf ear to their cries. Hold on to your promises. Go forward in faith. Wait for it patiently. He never let you down.
