God's ways seem to be paradoxes for the human mind. He says, "For life, you die. To find your life, you lose. To be safe, you must first be weak. "
Of all the paradoxes, one of the biggest is this:" To be truly free, must be tied. " To achieve the highest freedom in God, one must terminate all their rights and become a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ for life. There is a glorious slavery of love that leads to the highest form of freedom and liberation. It is a voluntary submission born of love and affection which in turn causes one to consider the above to be considered bonded child.
At a time when God's people are obsessed with claiming their rights and focused on the Lord's blessings and benefits, would be of great benefit to allow the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see a place in God that is more Beyond all that we have discovered so far. It is in perfect divine order to receive all good things come from the hand of God and no child of God should feel guilty for the blessings and benefits bestowed upon him.
But we need to see that there is something better than blessings and prosperity, something much more rewarding than all the other benefits he gives us daily.
A servant is someone who has entered into a sacrament of service to his master. This is beautifully described in the following scripture:
"If buy a Hebrew servant, six years will do, but the seventh will go free, for nothing. If he came alone, just leave if he were married, his wife go out with him. If his master gave him a wife, and she bore him sons or daughters, the wife and children shall be her master, and leave alone.
But if the servant says: 'I love my master, my wife and my children do not want to go free,' then his master shall be brought before the judges, leaning against the door or to the post, and bore his ear through with an awl. That will serve him for ever "(Exodus 21:2-6).
This passage is much more than a representation of what God lays on the servants and masters. Here is clearly set Jesus Christ as servant.
Christ is the master in this passage and we are the slaves whose freedom has been purchased. The cross is the sabbatical year of freedom for all prisoners, captives, slaves, and servants, and us who were sold under the Act, have been released for the fun!
We have been freed from sin but we are servants to Christ for eternity and by choice.
